Round Rock Utility Billing lobby transitions to new schedule

Published on October 3, 2024 under RRnews

The City of Round Rock will begin new operating hours for its Utility Billing office effective Oct. 7.

The in-person Utility Billing lobby at 221 E. Main St. will begin opening one hour later from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Customers will still be able to contact the Utility Billing office by phone between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. City Hall Administration building office hours remain unchanged.

The reduction in lobby hours comes on the heels of recent efforts to increase availability of alternative and flexible payment solutions. In the past few years, the City has added CashPay at retail locations, Google Pay, Apple Pay and a new and easier-to-use online portal, which provides 24/7 access for online transactions and account management. These changes have aimed to streamline operations while maintaining access to essential services for customers.

Below are existing methods for paying your utility bill with the City of Round Rock:

Payment Methods

  • Online Payment – You can make a one-time payment or set up auto-pay through our online payment portal. Payment accepted includes Apple Pay, Google Pay, American Express, Discover, PayPal, eCheck and Walmart Pay.
  • Phone – Call the toll-free number at 1-855-894-2392. Select “#” after your CID number and Account number, i.e., XXXXXX# XXXXXX#.
  • Online Banking

  • Lobby – Located at City Hall, 221 E. Main Street, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
