Round Rock Police shut down illegal gambling operation

The Round Rock Police Department has shut down an illegal game room with numerous gambling machines.

This morning, at approximately 9:15 a.m., the Round Rock Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division executed a search warrant at Sky Digital Lounge (2000 S IH 35, Ste. Q3) for illegal gambling, following months of surveillance. During the search, officers seized approximately 64 gambling machines, gambling proceeds, and various related paraphernalia and documents.

As part of ongoing efforts to combat crime associated with game rooms, the Round Rock Police Department’s Patrol and Criminal Investigations Divisions have been conducting targeted enforcement operations. These initiatives are aimed at addressing illegal activities such as gambling, drug use, and other criminal behaviors often linked to these establishments.

Several individuals have been identified, and criminal charges are pending. The investigation is ongoing, and further details will be provided as they become available.
