Open Enrollment for Round Rock PD Citizens Police Academy

The Round Rock Police Department is conducting open enrollment for its Citizens Police Academy, a 12-week educational opportunity that gives participants a behind the scenes look at the many functions of the police department.

The Citizens Police Academy is a hands-on course where participants gain an insider perspective on the realities of life as a police officer through participation in activities such as patrol scenarios, SWAT demonstrations, and more.

Classes will be held in Round Rock Police Department’s Main Training Room (2701 N. Mays St.) on Tuesdays from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. beginning Feb. 4 until May 6.

Graduates of the program are eligible for additional training and volunteer opportunities, such as Citizens on Patrol, as well as membership in the Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association (CPAAA).
